The Youth Board is wide open for all interested theater kids (ages 10 through senior year of high school) to get involved!
We are excited to announce that the Youth Board is evolving into a hands-on leadership training program designed to prepare members to step confidently into leadership roles within the theater community.
In addition to fundraising and helping decide what youth shows CST will produce, Youth Board members will now participate in specialized workshops led by local theater professionals, gaining real-world insight into acting, directing, stage management, design, technical theater, and arts administration.
Members will also:
– Take part in educational field trips to expand their theatrical experience
– Receive behind-the-scenes training in all aspects of production
– Learn how theater organizations operate at a leadership level
– Have opportunities to serve as Executive Board members
– Produce and mount their very own Youth Board production
Whether you want to get a little involved or run for Youth Board President, this program is designed to help you grow as both an artist and a leader. We are so glad you’re here and can’t wait to see what you create!
